I love all things fall! Halloween candy, caramel apples, hot apple cider. You name it, I am here for it!

And every now and then, I treat myself. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is about balance, right? 👍

This also means – I can’t ALWAYS indulge

These three healthy alternatives to some of fall’s sweeter, higher-calorie, treats can keep you feeling fall-festive AND healthy.

🍂 Pumpkin seeds instead of candy corn. 

Pumpkin seeds are high in protein, vitamins & minerals, and unsaturated fatty acids. You can roast your own in the oven!

🍂 Sweet potatoes instead pumpkin cookies and treats. 

Sprinkle slices of sweet potato with pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon and bake for a warm, healthy treat. 

🍂 Seasoned apples Instead of apple pie or apple cobbler (sometimes). 

Slice apples and sprinkle with cinnamon, steam, and dice or puree, and mix with cottage cheese or greek yogurt. I love a mix of chopped apples, chopped walnuts, and honey in a cup of greek yogurt! YUM! 😋
