Socializing Is Good for Your Health

Socializing is good for your health!

Socializing is good for your health.

Did you know that research studies show that having healthy, supportive relationships in your life can increase your chances of living a longer life by 50%?

Socializing is a huge aspect of being human. And socializing is good for your health.

Social wellness is the ability to build meaningful relationships with others. Healthy relationships create a support system that increases your general sense of wellness and happiness. These relationships can make mitigating stressful times easier.

Optimal social wellness can also increase your memory, general cognitive skills, assertiveness, confidence… oh, and lifespan.

Staying in close contact with friends and spending quality time with loved ones positively impacts your emotional, mental, and overall wellness.

Building healthy relationships with a support system that truly cares about YOU increase your likelihood to make healthy choices. That’s because these relationships will help hold you accountable.

Your social wellness can also be increased by volunteering, participating in social activities that you enjoy, and becoming active with community events.

Life gets busy and we often shuffle and postpone and reschedule the “fun” stuff with friends. We mistake it as a want and not a need. But enjoying time with the people you care about is a big part of your wellness!

Look at the benefits of sharing a meal:

🥗 We tend to eat more nutritious foods with others around us.

🥦 Often we eat fresher foods with a group

⏰ Generally, we eat slower and feel more satisfied with others around as we converse.

🗣stimulating conversation is almost just as important as the meal for your brain 🧠 and heart ❤️

💗 new friendships are made and relationships grow

How often do you say, “Let’s get together soon!” with your friend… and then months pass?

I do that all the time.

Today, I challenge you to call up that friend that you have been meaning to get together with.

Make a PLAN.

Put it on the CALENDAR.
