Are you looking for a simple mental trick to increase motivation?
Let me tell you a story.
There was a teacher who expected a lot from her children.
One day, she asked them to write down on a piece of paper what they wanted to be when they grew up.
Jean always wanted to be a pilot like her dad, but many people in her life had told her that women could not be pilots.
Her hopes and motivation to pursue her goals had been stifled over the years.
So she thought about what she was capable of doing and wrote down “waitress.”
Then the teacher asked the students again to write down what they wanted to be when they grew up. This time she said to write down what they would be if there were no obstacles standing in their way – they could be whatever they wanted!
Jean wrote down a “pilot.”
And guess what? Jean went on to become a pilot.

Picture yourself one year from now meeting your goals and standing on the other side looking back at the past year.
Do you have more positive self-talk now that you have achieved your goal?
Do you expect more from yourself?
Can you see where you needed that extra support or motivation to keep going during tough times?
Your ability to reach success is up to you!
Fill your thinking with positive expectations. Be confident in your abilities. Look ahead and appreciate and overcome obstacles.
